Exports of agricultural products exceeded USD 10 billion
Over the first 9 months of 2016 Ukrainian exporters have delivered to foreign markets agricultural products with the amount of $ 10.4 billion, representing 40.2% of total exports of the state. During the same period in 2015 there were exported of agricultural products with the amount of $ 10.2 billion.
Thus, according to State Statistics Service, in the period from January to September of this year there were exported:
- Live animals and animal products in the amount of $ 0.5 billion (2.1% of total exports), for 9 months 2015 - $ 0.59 billion;
- Products of plant origin in the amount of $ 5.5 billion (21.3% of total exports), for 9 months of 2015 - $ 5.57 billion. Including cereals in the amount of $ 4.2 billion (16.4% of total exports), for 9 months 2015 - $ 4.2 billion;
- Fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin in the amount of $ 2.7 billion (10.6% of total exports), for 9 months 2015 - $ 2.25 billion;
- Finished food products in the amount of $ 1.6 billion (6.2% of total exports), for 9 months 2015 - $ 1.76 billion.
During the same period there were imported agricultural products with the amount of $ 2.78 billion, representing 10% of total imports to Ukraine. During the same period in 2015 there were imported agricultural products with the amount of $ 2.5 billion.
By the results of 9 months of 2016 there has been generated a positive balance of trade of agricultural products in the amount of $ 7.6 billion.
